Hello!
I'm Emily—a designer and art director, born and raised in New York, shaped by the world, and now rooted in Southern California.
I strongly believe showing is better than telling, so to demonstrate my vision and fit for the Creative Director role at Airbnb, I developed a concept for a social campaign rooted in my own travel experiences—real stories, real cities, and the real sense of connection Airbnb creates. Drawing from each month I spent living in Hanoi, Vietnam; Kigali, Rwanda; and Marrakech, Morocco, the campaign explores the idea of belonging through connection. It highlights how Airbnb goes beyond just a place to stay—facilitating meaningful interactions with people, cultures, and communities in a way that no hotel ever could. Whether it's sharing tea with a host in Hanoi or joining a neighborhood dinner in Marrakech, these are the moments that stay with you. This campaign is not just inspired by my travels—it’s a reflection of the deeper purpose that makes Airbnb different, and why I’m passionate about telling its story.

As someone who spent 2+ years traveling the world—across continents, cultures, and countless homes—I can honestly say that my journey wouldn’t have been possible without Airbnb. It’s been more than a travel platform to me; it’s a community, a passport to connection, and a key that unlocked experiences I’ll never forget. Now, I’m eager to give back to the company that helped shape some of the most meaningful chapters of my life.
In addition to my personal experience, I bring 10+ years of experience as a designer and art director across several industries including fashion, beauty, food & beverage, and wellness. I’ve collaborated with agencies, global brands, and early-stage startups to design across every touchpoint—from print and packaging to digital and social. I've even concepted and executed compelling social-first campaigns for brands such as The Honest Company and Winc (click & check them out!)
I’m a visual storyteller with a multidisciplinary skillset that’s constantly growing and evolving. I thrive in environments where curiosity, creativity, and empathy drive decisions—just like at Airbnb.
